people helping people keep their babies clean and dry
The mission of The Babies' Place Diaper Bank is to increase awareness of diaper need in our community and provide access to diapers, education and resources to families in Northcentral Wisconsin – keeping them clean, dry and healthy.
The Babies' Place is open any time The Neighbors' Place is open, no appointment is necessary. Simply ring the white doorbell at the Employee Entrance on Scott Street to be assisted with diapers. No paperwork is required for the first visit.
The Neighbors' Place works with individuals and families that are often low-income or on restricted incomes. This lack of resources means that many of our community members are going without - without proper nutrition and without basic needs such as hygiene. We understand that many of our neighbors are in need of these essential, basic needs in order to have the quality of life that they deserve. That's why The Neighbors' Place launched The Babies' Place in 2021. We want to better serve our neighbors and provide them with the diapers and feminine hygiene supplies they need.
Children in low-income families are at greatest risk of suffering the effects of diaper need because many families can't afford diapers. Current public support programs help some, but young children have additional needs necessary to build a strong foundation for healthy growth and to reach their full potential. There is currently no federal program to assist specifically with diaper needs and diapers cannot be purchased with SNAP or WIC benefits.
The Babies' Place is committed to empowering local families with the necessary resources they need by distributing thousands of diapers every year to our neighbors in need.
