"People HelpING PEople"

The Neighbors’ Place is a homegrown community center providing a hand up to residents of Marathon County and the surrounding communities. In 1989, The Neighbors' Place was established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization after nearly a decade of effort by members of several area churches that came together to address some of the needs they saw in our community. Our goal is a simple one: to be “People Helping People.” We are here to work collaboratively, listen respectfully, and care actively – treating everyone who comes through our doors with dignity.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Neighbors’ Place helps those in need in north central Wisconsin by providing food and basic necessities, education and connecting clients with services, and treating people with dignity and respect.

We provide the following programs and services (free of charge) to those who need them:

Food Bank & Food Pantry

The Babies' Place

Wheels Again

Community Gardens

Community Learning Center

These programs are possible because our community cares. Local businesses, organizations, and individuals share their time, talent, and treasure because our community sees the difference their participation makes. Feel free to explore our website  — or get in touch with us — to learn more about who we are and what we do.
