WSAW Diaper Drive

To honor the memory and vision of our long-time friend, mentor, and advocate Walter John Chilsen, The Neighbors’ Place is pleased to present the Rose and Walter John Chilsen Legacy Society – a permanent fund to aid the Neighbors’ Place in its mission to help those in need in north central Wisconsin. Our goal is to bring people together to support the work of The Neighbors’ Place today and far into the future.

Our Request is Simple:

Make a Legacy Gift

Become a member of the Chilsen Legacy Society by including The Neighbors’ Place in your will or Estate Plan.

Rose and Walter John Chilsen

Any gifts, large or small, are greatly appreciated. We will then add your name to the Legacy Wall, which will be on display at The Neighbors’ Place to encourage the community to join our efforts to use planned/legacy gifts to support this organization. Legacy giving is one of the powerful ways people can make a lasting difference for those in need.

Joining the Rose and Walter John Chilsen Legacy Society is a way to encourage others to participate in projects that make our community a better place to live. Many of the good things in our community are the result of the generosity, vision and perseverance of Rose and Walter John Chilsen. The Neighbors’ Place is a good example, and the Chilsens were there at its founding. Walter John had shared “it was just a small center where people in need could drop in for a cup of coffee.”

We are indebted to Rose and Walter John Chilsen for donating their time and talent to make our community a better place. Help us continue their legacy by making The Neighbors’ Place one of your heirs. Establishing a planned gift and, thus, your own personal legacy of giving, is as easy as including the following language in your will: I give and bequeath (describe the bequest) to The Neighbors’ Place, Wausau, Wisconsin, for its charitable purposes as defined in and subject to the provisions of the Rose and Walter John Chilsen Legacy Society Fund as administered by the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin as it exists on this date or as it may be amended in the future. The Neighbors’ Place tax ID # is 39-1640241.
