October 26, 2016 - Wausau Couple Donates $20,000 to Local Food Pantries
The Wausau Daily Herald announced on October 20, 2016 that Michael and Mary Salsieder will be donating $20,000 to the 2016 Stock the Shelves!

October 25, 2016 - Dunkin’ Donuts Volunteer Day
The Joy in Childhood Foundation announced a $1 million 3-year partnership with Feeding America to help alleviate childhood hunger. And, drumroll, . . . The Neighbors’ Place was selected to receive a $10,000 regional grant through the Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins Foundation! On October 19th Dunkin’ Donuts employees from all over Wisconsin volunteered at The Neighbors’ Place as part of the National Volunteer Week of Service in partnership with Feeding America.
October 4, 2016 - Fall Volunteers at The Neighbors’ Place
“Last month more than 80 public, corporate, and community service volunteers shared over 1,500 hours with our Community Learning Center, TNP Gardens, Food Pantry & Bank, and Furniture & Basic Needs Bank programs. According to Independent Sector, our volunteers contributed nearly $38,000!” said Evan Cass, Volunteer and Events Coordinator at The Neighbors’ Place.

September 30, 2016 - Wausau Homes Gives Back to the Community
A couple weeks ago some employees of Wausau Homes toured The Neighbors’ Place, and at the end of the tour they had one question, “How can we help and make a lasting impact?” The board of directors and staff of The Neighbors’ Place brainstormed projects knowing this company had a certain expertise.
On Wednesday, September 28th a whole crew of employees from Wausau Homes volunteered their time and materials to help The Neighbors’ Place improve areas of the aging building.
