The Joy in Childhood Foundation announced a $1 million 3-year partnership with Feeding America to help alleviate childhood hunger. And, drumroll, . . . The Neighbors’ Place was selected to receive a $10,000 regional grant through the Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins Foundation! On October 19th Dunkin’ Donuts employees from all over Wisconsin volunteered at The Neighbors’ Place as part of the National Volunteer Week of Service in partnership with Feeding America. The volunteers painted the Food Pantry, hallways, bathrooms, planted bulbs in the landscaping, and presented the $10,000 check to Kevin Wolf, President of the Board of Directors at The Neighbors’ Place.
Did you know nearly 16 million children live in a household that doesn’t have sufficient access to food? That means 1 in 5 children in the United States struggles with hunger. Thank you Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins for helping us feed children in central Wisconsin!
